Last weekend’s rain may have passed, but Chicago isn’t quite out of the woods yet. Plenty of areas are still flooded and stormwater is causing problems around the region.
To talk about what happens to Chicago’s waterways when we see torrential downpours, Morning Shift spoke with Rachel Havrelock, associate professor of English at the University of Illinois at Chicago and co-founder and principal investigator for UIC’s Freshwater Lab, which studies the planning, management and conservation of the Great Lakes.
