Taste of Mexico

The 35th Annual Taste of Chicago will showcase the work of more than 50 Chicago area restaurants. But only about four will represent Mexican food. A group of businesses in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood felt that Chicago had a lot more to offer when it comes to Mexican cuisine and so this weekend they’re launching the first ever Taste of Little Village Flavors of Mexico at 26th and Sacramento. Here to talk to us about the genesis of the festival as well as the authentic flavors it will offer is Jaime Di Paulo, executive director of the Little Village Chamber of Commerce and Louie Lopez chef at Los Candiles whose food will be featured at the festival.(Flickr/Geraint Rowland Photography)
