Abortion is a political hot button issue. It has been a legal procedure for 45 years but it still carries a heavy stigma for the women who have abortions and the medical professionals who provide the procedure. In her new book Scarlet A, author and bioethicist Katie Watson challenges the political toxicity around abortion offers ways to have a more productive conversation around abortion ethics.
