In 2007, Chicago was found to have the “worst” mail delivery of any major U.S. city. Now with the holidays approaching and recent restructuring of the U.S. Postal Service, there are concerns about what’s next for the financially struggling agency. Local carrier Vince Atlas explains how the restructuring has affected his work, and Phil Rubio, the author of There’s Always Work at the Post Office, reflects on the service’s past and its uncertain future.
