As the mercury rises in Chicago, it can sometimes feel like it’s harder to take a deep breath.
Over the weekend, Chicago saw a heat index of up to 110 degrees, causing Excessive Heat Warnings across the region.
But while the extreme heat is taking a reprieve early in the week, it won’t be gone for long. Temperatures are expected to climb again around Thursday, and that rising heat has a major effect on air quality in our area.
