Some artists’ work has been heavily informed by gentrification - and while many of them have joined movements to raise awareness about the effects of gentrification, they also must contend with the accusation that they, themselves, cause gentrification. What role do art and artists play in gentrifying neighborhoods? What about chefs and restaurants?
