Third Coast Festival People’s ShortDoc Award

Every year, the Third Coast International Audio Festival honors the best audio work from around the world. Long-form documentaries, audio art and investigative stories capture the top prizes. But there’s also a chance for shorter works to get recognition. The Short Docs competition calls for works that are no longer than three minutes and follow a list of unique parameters. This year’s entries look for inspiration from the master storyteller himself-Studs Terkel. Third Coast Festival has narrowed down the entries to the finalists, and there’s still a chance for you the listener to vote for your favorite. Festival Managing Director Sarah Geis shares some snippets from the finalists, and gives us the details on casting a vote for the people’s favorite. (Flickr/ ChineseSoupPot)
