Last week, attorneys for victims of priest sex abuse released internal documents from the Archdiocese of Chicago. The files show a pattern of the Archdiocese shifting abusive priests from parish to parish, and taking years to remove them from the priesthood. Abuse survivors and their attorneys call this a cover-up that lasted decades and continues today. The Archdiocese says it made mistakes, and was following standards for treatment of the era.
