When Villapalooza first launched back in 2011, 500 people showed up to watch local bands perform at the one-day, free music festival. Since then, it’s grown and grown. Last year, the event drew in 5,000 people, and this year’s Villapalooza is expected to bring in more than 15,000. The festival takes place tomorrow and will feature both local and international artists. Quinto Imperio is one of those bands. They’re a local hybrid cumbia band founded in the South side of Chicago. They will take the stage just before six in the evening. They join us in the Jim and Kay Mabie performance studio with a preview of their festival performance.
