Waukegan considers new statue to famous literary native

North suburban Waukegan is considering a statue to pay homage to science fiction writer Ray Bradbury. The town where the author spent his youth inspired his stories, with many reading the striking similarities between Waukegan and the fictional Green Town that served as a setting in his stories. Crain’s Chicago Business reporter Dennis Rodkin fills us in on the details of the fight for the statue, and Bradbury’s authorized biographer Sam Weller tells us more about the late writer’s life in Waukegan.
