One of the many tidbits that puffs up Chicago’s architectural pride: we’re the birthplace of the skyscraper. And from the massive stones of the Rookery Building-built in 1886-to the stainless steel of the Trump tower, the city’s skyscraper fraternity is about to get a new member. We discuss plans for a building that would soar so high above the Mag Mile, it only comes in 29 feet shorter than the Willis Tower.
