What’s It Like To Be An Election Judge
If you plan to vote in person on election day, you’ll depend on election judges to set up your polling place, sign you in and make sure your ballot is submitted properly.
But who can become an election judge, and what exactly does the job entail?
According to the Chicago Board of Election Commissioners, any Cook County voters 18 or older who can speak English, perform basic math and be kind and decent during a 14-hour election day shift are eligible to apply.
On election day, if you notice any problems with voting machines, electioneering, or anything else that just seems off, call 312-269-7870.
