Why Chicagoans Stay

Chicago has been in the news lately for its continued violence, budget issues and most recently population loss. But even with all those reasons to leave many residents that can afford to relocate refuse to leave a place they call home.

Chicago is home to big name stars such as legendary gospel singer, Mavis Staples and former White House chief of staff, Bill Daly, and despite their success and travels they are comforted by the community spirit and support from neighbors in the city.

Morning Shift talks with William Lee, reporter for the Chicago Tribune, who spoke with several notable Chicagoans about why they chose to call Chicago home.
