Winterizing Your Dog, And Other Ways We Protect Animals In The Cold

This week is bringing some frigid and near record-breaking temperatures and wind chills to the Chicago area. After seven inches of snow dropped on Monday, today sees a high of 6 degrees and a low of minus 18. Wednesday could reach wind chills of minus 50 degrees. And while residents prepare their homes, their cars and themselves for the bone-chilling cold, what about your furry friends? Morning Shift checks in with the Anti-Cruelty Society about how to prepare and protect your pets in the cold.

We also check in at the Lincoln Park Zoo to find out more about how they prepare their animals for the extreme cold.
