Back in 2013, Purvi Patel went to a South Bend, Indiana, hospital with what seemed like a miscarriage. Upon further examination a doctor there found something even more serious. Patel later she admitted she had given birth, but disposed of the fetus near her family’s restaurant. Now she’s facing a possibility of 70 years in prison.
