Women take over the arm wrestling arena

A group of young women is turning wrestling conventions upside down. Sure, they arrive with loud mouth managers, and big entourages, and costumes, like you’d expect. But when they take the stage, it comes down to a show of strength. The women face off and arm wrestle. The Chicago League of Lady Arm Wrestlers is holding its 18th bout Saturday night at the Logan Square Auditorium. They’re part of a growing movement of women’s arm wrestling, with groups across the country. Three of the women from CLLAW join us: Ellie Wasserman, Kaye Straub, AKA Macho Ma’am Candy Savage and Megan Metzger, AKA the Divine Tragedy. (Photo courtesy of CLLAW)
