danah boyd is principal researcher at Microsoft Research and the founder of Data & Society Research Institute. She’s also a visiting professor at New York University's Interactive Telecommunications Program and a faculty affiliate at Harvard's Berkman Center. Her books include "Hanging Out, Messing Around, and Geeking Out: Kids Living and Learning with New Media" and "It's Complicated: The Social Lives of Networked Teens."
