Radio M: British folk jazz band Pentangle, funky Kenyan music, Canadian afro beat

In 1967 two extraordinary guitarists- one from Scotland, the other from Britain- decided to form a band. Pentangle was the brain child of Scottish folk musician  Bert Jansch and John Renbourn, a Brit whose musical tastes ran from classical music and jazz to blues and 'world' music. The band's sound incorporated all those elements and then some. Their first gig was sold out; an indication of their bright future.  Sadly Renbourn and Jansch are no longer around. This week on Radio M a survey of Pentangle's music. Plus new afro/latin beat from Quebec, a taste of Turkey, funky sounds from Kenya and a whole lot more from around our big blue planet on Radio M.
