Ray LaHood, an Illinois Republican who served in the Obama administration, says partisanship is ubiquitous in both Illinois and the nation’s capital. “If I was grading bipartisanship in Springfield and Washington I’d give it a big fat ‘F’ in both places,” LaHood said on Morning Shift. We spoke with LaHood about how to reclaim bipartisanship and the nation’s need for infrastructure repairs. For one, Lahood called for elected officials who sincerely want to help their communities.
