If you live in south Florida, you see it every day. In Chicago…not so much. An alligator-somewhere between 4 and 5 feet long-has appeared in the Humboldt Park lagoon. We’ll hear about how it may have gotten there, what authorities are doing to humanely remove it, and why the lagoon makes for a good alligator home.

Plus, hurricane season has begun in the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico. And September will mark the 2-year anniversary of the devastating storm that hit Puerto Rico. We’ll find out how the island is doing, and how residents who came to Chicago after the storm are doing.
