After much back and forth, a university professor who accuses U-S Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, will testify tomorrow before the Senate Judiciary Committee. That testimony from Christine Blasey Ford will be the latest high profile moment in the Me Too era…where we’ve seen a heightened awareness about sexual harassment and assault, along with more efforts to fight back. Here in Illinois, a panel led by three Democratic women released a report this morning that seeks to root out sexual harassment in the workplace — specifically for women in the political sphere.The Anti-Harassment, Equality and Access Panel came together in February after allegations of sexual misconduct within the political organization of powerful Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan.We spoke with tow of the panel members abut their work.
