Tomorrow’s the opening day of Lollapalooza music festival in Grant Park- and a Cubs game at Wrigley Field. A perfect day for an act of civil disobedience….so say community organizers. Anti-violence groups are planning to march on Lake Shore Drive Thursday and disrupt traffic to raise awareness of gun violence in the city. Protesters plan to close the northbound lanes of the Drive between Diversey and Belmont avenues at 4 p.m. — peak traffic hour — before pivoting west to Clark Street and up to Wrigley Field.

The effort’s being led by Reverend Gregory Livingston who joined the Morning Shift to talk about the protest what he hopes it will accomplish.
