'American Factory' Takes A Local Look At Global Capitalism

American Factory  takes viewers to a formerly abandoned General Motors plant near Dayton, Ohio as it’s bought by a Chinese manufacturing company called Fuyao. The film starts as the plant reopens, with local workers on the production lines under Chinese supervisors.

Reset spoke with the film's co-director about how she explored the deindustrialization of the Midwest, the decline of American unions and the realities facing the global working class through the lens of one Ohio factory.

GUEST: Julia Reichert, co-director of American Factory
