A new case of coronavirus was confirmed in northern California Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases in the U.S. to 60.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, it’s the first U.S. case of unknown origin — that means the patient did not travel outside the country and did not have contact with another patient known to have the coronavirus, known as COVID-19.
