Chicago musician Jeremy Cunningham’s new album explores his brother’s life, and the effect his brother’s loss had on him and his family. His brother was killed by an assault rifle during a home invasion in 2008.

Reset sits down with the drummer, composer and improviser to discuss his new album, The Weather Up There, and how he hopes to change the tone of the conversation on gun violence, gun rights and gun legislation through music.
