Oscar Noms Are Out And So Are The Snubs

The nominees for the 92nd Academy Awards have been unveiled.

The Joker leads the pack with a whopping 11 nominations. The Irishman, 1917 and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood all got 10 nods each, and Jojo Rabbit, Little Women, Marriage Story and Parasite earned 6 nominations apiece.

But the Academy is already facing some backlash on the lack of diversity in the nominations in what’s becoming an annual criticism for the famed award show. Nominees of color were thin this year, and for best directors, no women were nominated.

Reset checks in with Tonja Stiddum, entertainment writer for the digital magazine The Root. We also hear from April Reign, creator of the movement #OscarsSoWhite.
