“Plinking” is a modern-day gothic romance by R.T. Smith.  Raised in Georgia and North Carolina, Smith has published several volumes of poetry and one book of short stories.  His books “Trespasser” and “The Cardinal Heart” were nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in Poetry.  Like many of Smith’s works, “Plinking” is set in the south and captures the darker side of marriage and relationships through Smith’s characteristic grim humor.  The story was directed by Michael E. Myers for a program entitled “Temporary Insanity.”
