 “The Tell-Tale Heart” is the classic gothic horror tale by Edgar Allan Poe.  Poe is a recognized master and innovator of the short story as well as the author of poems, plays, novels, essays and newspaper columns.  “The Tell-Tale Heart,” originally published in 1843 in the literary journal, The Pioneer, features a narrator whose singular obsession comes to haunt him.  The story was directed by Michael E. Myers for a program entitled “Temporary Insanity.”
