 “YMA Dream” by Thomas Meehan is a story in which the narrator recounts his dream about a bizarre cocktail party full of doorbells and tongue twisters.  Thomas Meehan is a long time contributer to the New Yorker, where this story originally appeared.  in addition, Meehan has received several Tony awards for his work on such well-known musicals as Annie and Mel Brooks’ The Producers.
