Two women reflect on vastly different central relationships of their lives, this week on Stories on Stage. One recalls her highschool cheerleading squad, while the other remembers her father at the end of his life.
Our first story is about the cheerleader, “Got Spirit” by Judy Budnitz. It was originally part of our live performance presentation, “The Suite Voices of Youth,” a program of coming of age stories directed by Michael E. Myers. Greta Honold reads “Got Spirit.”

The second story “My Father, Dancing” by Bliss Broyard, was originally presented live as “When Wires Get Crossed,” directed by Cheryl Lynn Bruce. E. J. Murray reads.

Both stories were taped during the 2004 live season of Stories on Stage at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

The 2007 live season is now on stage at Steppenwolf Theatre.
