Doctor Connie Mennella is the medical director at Cook County Jail. She first visited the facility as a student, at the invitation of Dr. Jack Raba, then the jail’s medical director. The two met up again recently at the StoryCorps booth in Chicago where they talked about the responsibility of being a physician caring for patients in a jail setting.
