When Karthik Pandian and Paige Johnston visited the StoryCorps booth in Chicago, they held hands under the table throughout the entire interview. They came to StoryCorps to talk about first impressions and the anticipation they felt meeting each other for the first time.

StoryCorps’ mission is to provide Americans of all backgrounds and beliefs with the opportunity to share, record and preserve their stories. These excerpts, edited by WBEZ, present some of our favorites from the current visit, as well as from previous trips.
