Kathryn Jackson and her daughter Cameron talk about mental health a lot. Cameron is 17, a junior in high school, and thinking about where to go to college. A few years ago, she was hospitalized for anxiety and depression. Kathryn is proud of the way her daughter steadied herself during tough times.

Earlier this year they spoke to each other at the StoryCorps booth in the Chicago Cultural Center about lessons they’ve learned.
