Connie Klaasen passed away a little over a year ago. But up until the end, she took pride in how she looked, always with lipstick on. That’s one of the memories that Klaasen’s daughter Liz Davis and granddaughter Quinn Davis shared when they visited the StoryCorps booth in Chicago earlier this year. Klaasen also took pride in her family and the cottage she shared with them. They call it The Wooden Shoe. Visits there are one of Quinn’s favorite memories of her grandmother.
