StoryCorps Chicago: ‘You Risked Your Life So I Could Come Into This World’
In 1993, Marla Wendell was in good shape, an educator, and a runner. She suffered from migraine headaches but felt healthy for the most part. The night before the Super Bowl, an incident occurred that put her life in danger. Marla was pregnant with her son, Daniel, at the time. Last month, the two of them visited the StoryCorps booth in Chicago to talk about how that experience 25 years ago changed their lives.
