Comfortable first dates and nerve-wracking proposals

By By Katie KlocksinFirst dates are often a nerve-racking business.
But when Joe Krolicki met Audrey Suh, his future wife, he says he was immediately comfortable.
Part of what charmed him? He thought she was loud, and had a loud laugh.
AUDREY: “Oh, I have a very loud laugh, that’s true.”
JOE: “Which was good for me because I’m always told that I’m loud. So maybe her loud laugh will drown out my loud laugh when we’re out in public. So I thought that was a good thing. I just felt like immediate comfort with you.”
AUDREY: “Yeah, I definitely felt like: ‘Oh I already know this person.‘”
The couple dated, and Joe decided to propose. And like many men, he sweated the proposal, but not for the usual reason.
JOE: “So did you know I was going to propose to you?”
AUDREY: “No, you were acting so crazy beforehand, and I wasn’t sure what was going on.”
JOE: “Do you know why I was nervous?”
AUDREY: “Because you were nervous that my ring wasn’t up to snuff, that my diamond wasn’t up to snuff?”
To find out how Joe got the permission of his future father-in-law, and just why he was nervous about the ring, listen to the audio above.
