Herb Kent was one of the first black radio personalities here in Chicago. His career began when he was in high school, way back in the 1940s, when Herb entertained his classmates as a member of the Hyde Park Radio Club. Interested in hearing more about those days, WBEZ’s Richard Steele, brought Herb to the MobileBooth where Herb recalled one moment where his creativity really paid off!
