Andre Trew worked as a professional dancer until a car accident in the late 1960s ended his career.

His friend Rob Mapes brought Andre to the MobileBooth during its visit to Chicago to hear some of the wonderful stories about Andre’s days in show business. Rob, who has known Andre as a volunteer with Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly, began by asking Andre to explain how he got the name “Caledonia.”

They were recorded in the StoryCorps MobileBooth when it visited Chicago in 2005.This story originally broadcast October 17, 2005.
