Beth Johnson and Cynthia Cornelius met each other at the Daley Center.

Johnson was the supervising attorney there for Cabrini Green Legal Aid. She ran a help desk for people who wanted to seal their criminal records.

Cornelius  was a law school student in her fifties, a volunteer at the desk.

They came to StoryCorps recently where Cornelius described how a tragedy with one of her children motivated her to start law school in middle age.
