Argonne is working to make batteries cheaper, smaller, and more efficient
Big news this week on the battery front , with Tesla saying it wants to power not just your car, but your home, with their batteries. As we saw with the Chicago Auto Show last week, the race is still on for building a better car battery. That’s why we’re especially excited to welcome Steve LeVine to Tech Shift. He writes for the digital magazine Quartz and is the author of the new book, The Powerhouse: Inside the Invention of a Battery to Save the World. LeVine embedded with scientists at Argonne National Library near Chicago to explore how the U.S. is racing to invent batteries that will fuel billions of dollars of clean energy business.
