The big four online travel agencies have now become two, with today’s announcement that Expedia plans to buy Chicago-based Orbitz. Last month, Expedia said it planned to buy Travelocity. We turn to Skift, a travel information news site, to see what this says about online travel bookings. Skift’s news editor, Dennis Schaal, joins us.
