This spring Northwestern University launched a new program to help make sense of the growing amount of data produced by the city. The Medill Data Project is helping not only students but Chicago news organizations explore and analyze new information about the region. That includes a pair of recent investigations in the Chicago Sun-Times on income inequality and test scores at Chicago charter schools. Darnell Little, Associate Professor at Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism and Editor of Medill Data Project, joins us to discuss.
