World War I was at the cutting edge of military technology, and was the catalyst for pioneering many of the technological devices used in modern warfare. Although things like carrier pigeons and radios may now seem archaic, they were key elements to sending and receiving secure communications during the Great War. BBC technology correspondent, Rory Cellan-Jones, joins us to talk about the technologies used in WWI and how they shaped modern warfare.
