This month is our Mid Month Mash-Up, where we check-in with our favorite local journalists and bloggers. We were joined by: • John W. Fountain, columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times • Jonah Newman, investigative journalist at the Chicago Reporter Then, we heard from Fannie Rushing, a veteran of the Civil Rights Movement. We heard about the legacy of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), and how that legacy relates to the work that young activists are doing today.
