This week, host Richard Steele talked about the annual Black Harvest Film Festival, which runs from August 8th through September 3rd at the Gene Siskel Film Center . For our preview, we were joined by: •Sergio Mims, Film Critic and Black Harvest Film Festival Consultant •Shahari Moore, Director of B Love (a romantic comedy) •Cyrus Dowlatshahi, Director of Takin Place (a documentary about the lives of a group of young women based in Washington Park and Englewood) And •Derek Grace, Director of College Week (a documentary about high school students from the Austin neighborhood). Then, According to Human trafficking is the fastest growing criminal enterprise in the world affecting an estimated 21 million people and generating an estimated $150 billion annually. To hear about the Cook County face of the problem, and the task force charged to help end trafficking, we heard from: •Summar Ghias, coordinator of the Cook County Human Trafficking Task Force.
