Cultural exchanges have been some of the only interactions allowed between Cuban and American citizens. That’s why Orbert Davis, Mark Ingram, and Birdie Soti from the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic were in Cuba in December. Orbert and Mark were working with Cuban music students the moment news broke of a thaw in relations between the U.S. and Cuba. We hear about their trip, as well as the power of cultural exchange.
