Well, I was a week off.
According to Ellen Malloy, Avec’s publicist, the beloved foodie haunt is scheduled to reopen its doors tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. Malloy says there will be an overhauled menu and a brand new stove.
In addition to Chef Koren Grieveson’s famous focaccia with taleggio and truffle oil, as well as chorizo-stuffed dates, she’s going to be adding a few new menu items as well.
They include: olive oil-poached fish in a Mason jar, housemade blood sausage and whole-roasted foie gras.
