- Emily Hindrichs will be taking over the role of The Queen of the Night in COT’s The Magic Flute because Claudia Boyle wasn’t able to come from Ireland because of visa issues. 

- The Chicago Commercial Collective’s A Steady Rain will tour the surrounding states, with stops in Wisconsin and Michigan this fall.  is proud to announce their first production, the remount of the Chicago and Broadway hit drama, A Steady Rain, will tour Wisconsin and Michigan this fall. 

- And this just in for an old-ish review of Lewis Black, who inaugurated City Winery. Tony Adler enjoyed his set, but admitted that might have been because he’s Black’s demographic. “…there’s more to Black than his sour style of nostalgia. There’s apoplexy. It’s surprisingly satisfying to watch him act out—waggling his fingers, sputtering, blubbering, and putting odd spins on words.” Additionally: “John Bowman and Kathleen Madigan open for Black. Loved her, didn’t really get him at all.”
