As military leaders ponder a troop drawdown in Afghanistan, physical activities for Kabul’s children aren’t at the forefront of the international discussion. However, an NGO called “Skateistan” is making it their business to teach Afghani kids to skateboard. Today they held their third annual Go Skateboarding Day Kabul, encouraging traditional garb while cruising around town and creating quite a photo op.
