Far be it from me to suggest that there might be sources of theater news other than OnstageBackstage, or radio outlets other than WBEZ, but I see that last Friday an outfit called Chicago Theatre Off Book presented an end-of-the-year top-ten special hosted by Katy Walsh of The Fourth Walsh and featuring Kris Vire of TimeOut Chicago and Bob Bullen of Chicago Theatre Addict and Chicago Like A Local. Chicago Theatre Off Book is a weekly program of “reviews, interviews and one-minute audio plays … showcas[ing] the local talents driving Chicago’s dynamic theatre force.” It’s an ongoing project of CHIRP, the Chicago Independent Radio Project, and will confer Honor Awards 2011 at a party in February.
